Don't wait for SpaceX
SpaceX is going public.
On April 1, the space economy giant filed confidentially for an IPO. It’s targeting a June listing.
The company is looking to raise between $50 billion and $75 billion, and it could fetch a valuation as high as $2 trillion!
That would make it easily the biggest IPO of all time.
But that’s not the only reason investors are excited for this IPO.
SpaceX was founded by Tesla (TSLA) CEO Elon Musk. And as I’m sure you know, Musk has a cult-like following. There will be massive retail investor interest in anything he does.
Does this mean you should buy SpaceX shares when they hit the market?
That all depends on your trading style and time horizon.
Personally, I’ll probably wait until SpaceX forms a base before I swing trade it. That could take days, weeks, or months.
We won’t know until shares hit the market. But that doesn't mean I'm not already cashing in on the space narrative.
You see, the SpaceX IPO has investors and traders excited about other space stocks. Take a look at Planet Labs PBC (PL) below, one of the group’s leaders. It’s climbed 84% in 2026, with much of that coming in the past couple months.
By the looks of it, PL wants to head even higher from here.

Satellogic (SATL), a $1 billion satellite stock, has done even better. It’s surged 289% this year and 142% since the beginning of March!
Like Planet Labs, SATL looks like it wants to go higher. Just look at the huge buying volume bars on this chart...
That means SATL has been under heavy accumulation.

Then there’s Firefly Aerospace (FLY), a recent space IPO. FLY has rallied 99% since the start of March.

And that’s just to name a few. Many space stocks have had huge starts to the year. And in most cases, I think the moves are far from over.
BlackSky Technology (BKSY) is one of my favorite space stocks for between now and the end of the year. Below, you can see that it’s just starting to climb out of a multi-month base.

I also love what I’m seeing from Intuitive Machines (LUNR). Like BKSY, it’s starting to emerge from a gorgeous base.

As you can see, you don’t have to wait for the SpaceX IPO to start profiting from the space narrative.
