The Middle East has a long history of conflict that continues to this day. Currently, the entire region—from Saudi Arabia to Syria—is deeply unstable, and there is only one nation that can pacify it. The last time the Middle East had stability, Turkey was in control; and it looks like the past could be the prologue. Can Turkey quell the various civil wars and get the migrant crisis under control? Although the outcomes sound positive, this scenario presents its own unique set of problems. What would a strong Turkey mean for Europe?
